It's a ralph-only issue, the spruce caboose gives (although only one task) bells.

Agreed. At one point he says something about Ralph helping him deliver presents on Christmas Eve, which was like...umm, okay, it's January 4th guys.
This is a good point and adds to the point I was making as to how this particular event doesn't seem like it's all been completely thought through well.
