Don't know how many people will read this, but any input is appreciated. Here's the situation: I've been playing for less than a year, and indulged in a moderate amount of housefarming to get my Springfield to where it is today. If anyone who's readying their torches and pitchforks will hear me out, I was primarily doing it as a method to purchase all the land as rapidly as possible, and as soon as I did, I rebuilt my town as closely as possible to the "official" Springfield map. My town doesn't look great, but with the addition of decorations and some variety in buildings, I'm reasonably content with it. I didn't sell any of my superfluous buildings, but instead tucked them into my inventory. I haven't been tasking any of my characters, except in Krustyland, because I don't have all the land there yet. Until today, I was sitting comfortably on about six million in-game cash, when a certain really freaking expensive building comes along. My conundrum is, since I don't think any of my awesome neighboreenos would mind me reverting back to a massive farm, do I tear up several days worth of hard work knowing I'll have to fix it again whenever I reach ten million in "disposable" income, do I sell the extra houses in my inventory even though doing so wouldn't get me close to the cash I need, or do I just play the waiting game since the building I wish to acquire isn't limited time? TL;DR: I need about four million in in-game cash. Should I housefarm, sell extra buildings, or just keep everyone tasking and wait? Thanks for reading this, and for any good advice anyone has to offer. :D
Well if you've seen my previous posts, you know what I'd do. Calculate how much I can make under various scenarios using Excel and then see how long it would take to get the money I wanted. :) Said building is not limited time, so I can wait.
