I've won both 100 and 300 gold eggs with only 4 boxes so far. Should get one of the gold prizes soon. You'll get more eggs, don't worry. If you win a blue/pink basket from zapping bunnies, once they are full, they give you 300 of either pink or blue eggs, almost another box! I won both the blue and pink, so there is no need to spend donuts on them, I may also win them again.
I don't think you'll be able to get all the prizes without paying donuts, which is annoying, especially as a lot of the cool prizes are in the gold box. I'm going to try and get as many as I can though! Good luck to you as well!
