Because it makes everyone else feel jealous. Same case if you win 150 donuts from a Buddha. It draws attention to yourself saying "Look how awesome I am, I just won it big!"
So why not just be happy for that persons good fortune. I mean the simple fact someone won something does not make them "awesome" if your a db before you win something that's not gonna change.
