I didn't take this as any sort of crack-down or punishment, but rather EA giving people exactly what was asked for - more aspirationals to spend their excess money on. This seems to be intended for those who have tens of millions in cash reserves and have already bought the previous aspirationals and finished Money Mountain and the Giant Redwood.

As for the cost of land, it has been increasing steadily every time they release a new batch, so that's nothing new either.

Or, a natural progression of cost the further away you get from the first land plots.

seriously as you progressed everything got more expensive. save, plan and prosper.

If you wait until they release more land the land becomes cheaper.
