Maggie shouldn't be hidden by other characters

Sound on. She makes increasingly louder "suck" noise the closer you get.

I had sound on. I heard her just fine. But I still couldn't see her. She was hidden behind Skinner, remember? So the sound only made things more frustrating.

It's just poor design, like at least one other task (I think at Quick-E-Mart) where there are/were two other characters with tasks there who stand in the exact same spot, overlapping each other.
