Hi, yes I personally got hit by the same bug/issue myself yesterday, it's a long standing problem that seems to be getting worse/happening more often recently there is also a thread about it in the bugs section of the forum here https://forums.ea.com/en/the-simpsons-tapped-out/discussion/125663/character-button-springfield-heights-and-railyard-not-working unfortunately your only option to get this fixed quickly is to contact EA support and ask for a roll back or if time isn't an issue you could try getting support to contact a game specialist to try and fix the problem but this method takes longer.
