Monorail station pieces?

After making a comeback to the game a couple of weeks ago I've been working on my monorail for the last few weeks and I've noticed a few of my neighbours have more station pieces than I do. One of them has 4 sets of stairs on the monorail station, I only have 2. Were these from an event or will I eventually be able to unlock more?

    That's a shame. I'd really like more of those platform pieces, you know the plain 2x2 blocks, would make it look a lot better.
