Old quests appeared suddenly

So I'm at Level 410 - been playing since April. I finally finished Money Mountain and two old quests started suddenly "Carl's Rise up the ladder" (lvl 27) then "true bromance" and "climbing up the d list" (lvl 31). This is the first time I've ever had them appear.

What's the deal? Is it a glitch or bug that kept them from starting until now? Or is it possible that I needed some magical combo of characters available all at the same time and some how for months that never happened? It seems odd that they both started the second I finished money monutain. Any ideas?

And any thoughts on how to ensure that I don't have any other hidden quests waiting to be triggered?
  • Did you bring things out of storage? I've had things retrigger after pulling them out of inventory.
  • I moved (not stored) the ice palace and Martin's quest (that I finished last year) started again, so maybe there are glitches in this winter event that may leave after the takedown
  • There are several levels that can take a while to be triggered, often ones that involve more than one building. Having too many quests in your task book, events and not having all the characters free at the same time can stop quests appearing. The most problematic is the General Hospital from level 24. Whilst working through the levels, it is a good idea to occasionally have all of your characters free, then go to Krustyland or friends to synchronise your game, then return to your town. Sometimes this can trigger new quests.

Going on from what spyder was saying I nuked my town and when I brought out some items it triggered the old quests. I had done it before. I had nothing to do cos I was redesigning my town so I done the quest again.

    Edited OP quote:

This is a different case as the quest line has never been done before.
  • Exact same for me, OP. I didn't have too many quests out. Didn't store anything. It was the money mountain that triggered it. Probably a glitch when they introduced that. It happens.

Good to know. Thanks! Probably a rare glitch but an EAsy fix.
