He hasn't read the last one, you are talking about the one only available in hard copy at an overinflated price since the series is so popular? LOL he's waiting till it's available as a paperback in the fall.
He devours those books but he's a SciFi geek haha. He read all the Harry Potters and claimed it was to preview it for our son to make sure the books are safe for him. He also read all the Eragon books (spelling?). His favorite are the Star Wars books and there are hundreds of them so he never gets bored.
Yes, the hardcover books are a ridiculous price. I get them from my local library. I have always been a voracious reader, but years ago, in an effort to budget, I stopped buying most books, and instead use my library. A yearly donation is much more reasonable than the thousands I used to spend on hard and soft cover books.
I read the first Harry Potter and, though I liked it, wasn't really interested in the rest. The same with Eragon. The depth of the Game of Thrones series has sort of spoiled me for many of the others in the genre, with, perhaps the exception of Robin Hobbs's novels. Mention that name to your husband. If he hasn't read them, he might enjoy starting with the Farseer series.
I just remembered another tv series that I love: Arrested Development. I'm thrilled that it's back.
