Tapping carrots means your neighbor doesn't get any bunnies from harvesting them, so it's not the best thing to do.

Are you sure? I could swear I've had those handshake-thingies on my carrots and when I click them I get both the FP points and bunnies?

I'm sure that there have been dozens of reports of handshake carrots yielding no bunnies, even after clearing the town.

Here's what I've gathered about how it works: at any one time, a town can only hold 40 bunnies (and 20 in "reserve" but we're not concerned with those.) If carrots are tapped when the town is full, no bunnies appear. If you're tapping a neighbor's carrots, the odds are very good that they're asleep or something, meaning their town is at bunny capacity. This prevents them from being able to get bunnies from their carrots later.
There may be some lucky instances where the town isn't full and this doesn't happen, but it's still not advised that we tap carrots in neighboring towns, because it will probably deprive them of bunnies.

I always get my bunnies.

I work at a place with no wifi and I can't check my second game till after I get home, some 11 hours later. My carrots are always tapped and I always get my bunnies. IDK when in the 11 hours they are being tapped, but my farm is in my LZ, so it is always tapped. We're talking 3 weeks of experience on this.

I bunny buzz my whole town, counting the stunned bunny bodies. When I get to at least 40, I tap the farm, and I always get my bunnies. The only time I didn't, was the time that I accidentally tapped the handshake first. And I only got 50 bunnies. they did not add to the bunny queue, which I kind of hoped happened.

I did notice, with handshakes, I also get money. IDK if you get cash and bunnies without a handshake? I think it's just bunnies without the handshake.

I, personally, only ever tap someone's farm if their plants are dead. They don't give out eggs, so I am always surprised that my farm gets taps these days.

Re, this thread topic, is it just the MKV II for pink common players that are getting the wrong colour? I'm blue common and the reports of the wrong colour have kept me from snagging one of those machines.
