PSA: Winter is Coming

Now that we have an idea of what's coming, this is a good chance for everyone to manage their expectations around what they think a Christmas event should be. It looks like we might get some holiday themed elements - but we could also end up with some weird Rigellian holiday-ish items. You might not get all the old items / skins you've been wanting. You might not get new land. You might not think this is Christmasy enough. But if you just mentally prepare yourself, you might actually have fun just playing an event, (hopefully) seeing snow in your town, getting huge ugly decorations (that will look weird after Christmas - e.g. snow globe) and not posting 30 threads about how disappointed you are.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Tapping. Winter is Coming

    Seeing Kang dressed up at Santa Clause has gotten me excited for whatever Christmas this shall be. :joy:

    I'd like iconic Simpsons items or practical decorations, things that will be useful in designing. Not too much weird, useless stuff.

    This event will most likely feature impractical decorations that will not be useful in your current designs. One way I have tackled this is to create lots for random junk in my movie studio and junk yard areas. Seeing the Disco Stu Popsicle stick, next to a pile of trash in the junkyard was the inspiration for this. The good news is - you are a great designer that can do a lot of creative work with the junk they will surely give us.

    As long as we get plenty of new items and not just a load of old stuff re offered for sale/ craft I'll be happy.

    Whether it’s Christ-messy or Christmas for this years event, it looks more like Christmassy than last years winter event.

    In my town all of Springfield has become one gigantic dump area.
