Nope, nothing is buried. But I think you have a good case- I would contact EA about it. I'm not sure if they can still give you old content but they might entice you with some donuts.

Just contacted EA about it; said they could revert to pre-level 47 but it would not allow Halloween crafting, (and they clarified the event is indeed over & updates are coming thru for everyone) plus all progress would be lost from yesterday, so that option isn't worthwhile...
Last thought will be to attempt signing on the non-updated android device).
