Release older buildings for newer players!
Well, many of the items were limited time or tied to episodes, so it wouldn't make sense to release them again. They have released some old items here and there so you never know though.

I don't think they're rewarding older players for not re releasing limited/promotional items,characters,buildings,etc.
You just didn't make it in time for the incentive of previous versions of the game, no ones fault but yours.
