Release older buildings for newer players!
Well, many of the items were limited time or tied to episodes, so it wouldn't make sense to release them again. They have released some old items here and there so you never know though.

With anything, have some effing patience. Instead of whining just wait and see what EA decides to do. Newer players may one day get most older items, but then again maybe not. It's not the end of the world. You'll survive...somehow.
