Mystery boxes are always the best investment for the multiplier, if it's just the multiplier you're after. Anything that has a 2%+ multiplier in the 30-50 donut range is a solid investment - provided you like the look of the item in question.
Personally I'm tired of hiding news vans and would rather invest in multiplier items that look good in my town. I'll probably sit this one out, but if you like the design (and only if you like the design), it's not a bad investment multiplier wise.
Yeah, I could just have a million of the same item but getting new unique items is definitely worth getting them at non-optimal values.
