Simpsons Official LEGO Set

My 10yo told me about this last Thursday. We looked it up & she proceeded to critique the set, as in "Where's Lisa's sax-a-ma-phone?" & "Why's Marge in an apron?" Et cetera.

(I raised my daughter with a healthy night-time routine, just as the experts advise: since she was a baby til last year or so, we watched a Simpsons rerun every night. When it was over, that was bedtime. As a result, she's got quite the discerning eye…)

Despite her critique, neither of us wavered from our original proclamation that we HAVE to get this!! Yes it's pricey & flawed but we'll just have to tighten our belts & shoehorn it into the budget somehow…

Found out today that the set will be available to LEGO VIP's from the official LEGO store on Friday, the 17th. I am pretty sure I will be there when it opens that morning to buy 2 :).

Maybe nobody cares, but damn am I excited, just got back from the LEGO store and have 2 Simpsons LEGO House sets in my possession!

Im a bit jealous! I would like 2 as well - one to put together and probably set it on my desk. The other to keep with the rest of my Simpsons collection.

What country are you in ? Canada I hope ?

To answer all of the questions, I am in Canada, I do love it, but no I have not started to build one yet, both are in the box. One will go into storage and one will be built soon. It will take several hours, so will have to start when I know I can finish it. Probably a 6 hour build I am thinking.

I ordered mine today. I can hardly wait! (Normally, the only Lego kits I build are the modular buildings -- just finished the Parisian restaurant.) However, this is just too cool to pass up.

Thanks for the heads up!! I just walked over to the Lego store and got one.

I also became a Lego vip to get one (actually 2!) and it really is amazing!
