Spooky campfire glitch?

I have a spooky campfire in my springfield, but I also have one in my inventory. Whenever I try to place the inventory one, it says I cant as I can only have one. But then why cant i get rid of the inventory one. Does anyone else have this issue?

    Try putting the one you have out into the inventory. Visit a neighbor. Open the inventory, and try taking them out. I did that with my IRS building, now I have 4.
