There is a good chance. It will force you to update eventually. Halloween was like 3 days after until the forced update, Whacking Day was like 4 hours after it hit the store.

If you don't go and manually get the update there's a chance you won't be forced to update for a day or so. I'm trying to get my next lot of donuts so I'm holding off updating too :-)

My game auto updated and I still have The Order running through my town and friends spying on my buildings.

I completed everything except spying on my neighbors!

Well, try to use all sixty of your emblem earning actions to tap stonecutter lodges, then. That could get you 300 emblems.

I haven't been forced to update yet. (Several of my neighbors have updated, so I'll have to wait to visit them.)
