  • I have been playing for 18 months and I teared my town down once. It is a very long process but I loved it. My advice would be:

    1. Wait until you bought all land

    2. Store all the decorations and put the buildings on a corner ( a glitch with the inventory had been reported a few months ago and some of the element stored had disappeared so I wouldn't store anything that is important like premium items)

    3. Design the areas (shopping, restaurant, entertainment, industrial...)on a piece of paper.

    4. Place all the building first. Make sure to leave space by designing a parc or a parking lot within these areas. This way, when a new update arrives you can remove these less important parts and replace them with the new building in the correct area. You never want to gut an awesome design you have done to clear some space for new stuff.

    5. Then do the decoration. It is the longest and best part of it !

    Hope it helps.

    Enjoy !

Wow, I didn't know that map existed. That's very helpful. But I think it dates from before the Halloween expansion, no? It's kind of depressing to realize how much land I still have to go.

    Thanks for posting this!

Another good place to start with in rebuilding is the launch screen (where you and all your neighbors start when they go to your town). As they say, it's good to make a good first impression. The launch screen starts at the center of your town based on the land you bought thus far. I bought a strip of land going to all the outer edges just so that my launch screen would not be changing constantly every time I bought a new piece of land. Then I made a nice design for people to see when they first come to my town. The rest of my town is a bit disorganized. But at least it looks presentable at first glance. :D

That's a good way to do it, if you can afford it

Welcome to the forum, by the way :) Good first post
