I still think the IRS Drone should collect for us. Just like I thought it was going to when I first heard that "multi-building collection will start when we get the IRS drone" - which is something I read somewhere.
Anyway... I like the idea of activating the drone so it goes off and starts collecting from all your buildings. Then you can be tapping your characters out while it does that. And even if you couldn't be doing other actions at least we wouldn't have to drudge through doing it manually.
Now, as far as tapping being the point of the game: that's like saying that wiggling the joystick and punching buttons is the point of games that require joysticks and buttons. No. Tapping is just the mechanism for doing actions in this game. And they called it tapped out because that was a clever play on words - something people of lower intelligence cannot understand.
As to friend actions: Who cares? The system they have is rather pathetic and in my case annoying. I don't WANT my building timers reset. That throws them out of sync with the other buildings that pay out at the same time. Which is why I have a bunch of Brown Houses for my neighbors to tap - they regenerate in 5 minutes and I don't bother with them unless they've been tapped. I wish the'd just get rid of Friend Actions. They're a nuisance to have to do - given how long it takes me to load neighboring towns and find something to tap - so I rarely do them anyway. I'm down to visiting one neighbor a day at this point just to start the daily timer. If I remember...
