How slow is the spawn for these things?!
Did you play the mini-game right away? I think that eliminates all the robots from your town (but I think you get credit for squishing them - not verified though).

I did get credit for them though.
Playing the minigame seems to send an EMP which destroys all? the robots in your town. However robots seem to respawn rather quickly
