Has this been previously discussed? This is the first I've seen that neighbors visiting your town can cause connectivity issues.
Personally, I have never seen a connection between crashes and neighbors visiting.

I have been saying it over and over. Others have said it as well (can't remember who). We've all said that we feel that this is causing crashing. Others have said it because as soon as you go back to your town? You see handshakes indicating people have been there.
This is not breaking news, folks.
It is why I've kept my friends list so low and I make sure that all my friends are at the same level. It keeps down on the number of people trying to do this bonus thing and keeps my town more stable. I know some of my friends do it but the percentage is fairly low.
