Bear in mind that you'll eventually reach a point in the game where in game cash and XP will be so easy to come by it won't matter, you may already be there.
You should follow my rule of thumb, if I like I buy it - XP and payouts don't even factor into it for me anymore.
+1- I only need 1 more donut to get the Two-nicorn (as I collect everything LE) but my neighbors aren't dropping them anymore. I guess I have to wait for the Bloaters quest.

I agree, that was quite a run of consecutive months with no new Friend Prizes, and thus, free donut earning potential from visiting neighbors. I easily collected over 100 donuts this year from these visits.- I'm saving my donuts for halloween!
Oh nevermind..ill buy the happy sumo restaurant and not the unicorn :D - As much as I would love to have the two-unicorn in my town. I will pass.all the free donuts I get from tapping friends towns I will save for Halloween or Christmas. :D
