You can manually refresh the Updates section of the App Store on an iPhone or iPad.

Go to the Updates section of App Store. Tap near the top of the screen near the ‘Updates’ text, then hold and pull down, then release. When the spinning wait cursor finishes spinning, any new app updates will appear.

If this doesn't work for you (it should), you should try doing a complete shutdown (power off) of the device. This will force it to update all of its information from the store.

i have to scroll down and then up in the update screen to get updates to kick in...so glad i paid almost $2000 for my ipad pro :# and to wait almost 8 hours to get this update. so glad i have android backup :)

I have downloaded the update from the iOS App Store a few days ago and the new event hasn’t appeared in th3 game. Have tried logging out and back in and also powering off my iPad then back on but it still hasn’t appeared. Does anyone have any ideas? It has also happened on my partners android device as well, she also uninstalled and reinstalled the game but still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Homer vs the Eighteenth Amendment's questline requires Level 20 to start. The current event update is 4.31.5. (Saw and hammer icon > small cog icon > info > about...) What level are you both?

Thank you Muhsterino for the response. That would explain it, we are both at level 16 at the moment. Would have been nice for the developers to put a note on the update info on the App Store to say that you need level 20 for this event to appear, or maybe it was there but I have missed it!

Most likely it wasnt there. To say that EA does a poor job communicating with its customers would be giving them way too much credit.
