What is up with the Pride 2020 storyline?
It doesn’t seem like it was written by the Simpsons staff at all. No clever jokes, no funny moments, it felt like it was written by Marge Simpson...

It was a lackluster "event" (this is what I'll call these from now on.) John would have been a great addition as we already have the Shaboom Cafe and the Japanese Robot Santa.
If John was wearing Homer's Pin Pal shirt I'm sure people would have posted their screenshots of John alongside the Pin Pals, naming John an Unofficial Member.....

Funny thing was, I was paying more attention to the storyline than the prizes.
Besides the Rocket and the Bathroom all the prizes needed a little something....
Not to mention they were all skins....
Marge was rather unfortunate, she actually looks good, it's just..... Those Eyebrows.
Not a fan of that look, the eyebrows I mean. In real life I dislike that look, and for them to replicate that look onna character and somehow simulate that feeling o get when I see those Eyebrows....
It's quite amazing, but rather unfortunate as it will more than likely never see use in my town.
Homer in Drag reminds me of old Looney Tunes....Bugs Bunny in drag....what once git a mild chuckle from me, is now only accompanied by an awkward silence.....
In general everything was pulled out of the episode, it's too late for a tie in and honestly EA has a lot of old episodes filled with content, Hank and John as we're previously mentioned are perfect examples.
Honestly the whole episode is base of is lackluster...having seen it I couldn't get completely behind Marge's reasoning or Homer's.
Compare that to the King Of the Hill episode where Peggy unknowingly befriended a man dressed in Drag and eventually learns that they view her as a strong Woman and she gains some confidence, and you can see why this Simpsons episode was pretty lame.
From my viewpoint all they did was try and monetize off of RuPaul's appearance, whereas KOtH actually had a well thought episode.....even though they've been off the air for quite some time....
Anyways here's hoping we get John and his awesome car next year!- Since I was never able to even start the event, I have no opinion. Doesn’t sound like I missed much though.
- I thought Dr. Hibbert 'LGBTQ and sometimes Y' line was pretty funny.
- Yeah, I’ve been wanting John for years. It’d be weird to go fro Homer cross dressing to Homer being afraid of homosexuality though.
- Yeah this was the first time in eight years I've skipped through the dialogue. Not even ham fisted, just dull. It is indeed as if a tone deaf Marge Simpson wrote it.
I will say that I do like this skin. But they maybe had one crack from me in the event story. Mostly Homer's analogy of why wearing a dress feels better.
