When to drop non-playing friends?
I'll drop when they have nothing to tap. Usually that's about four weeks. I'll keep some long time neighbors that only play for events and I know will come back.

I tend to clean out more inactives during events. It's been easy to determine who hasn't been playing by looking at the gold counts. I dropped someone today with only 500 gold that hasn't logged on in two weeks, and I dropped a second that still hasn't updated to the CoC event at all. Between events it's less noticeable, and I tend not to clear out because visits usually are down and some folks might go a few days without playing between updates/events.
