Why brazil?
I have been waiting for the Myan calender to come back for 3 years!!!! Lol. I'd rather visit Cancun and chichen itza then Brazil. I want the Myan calender!!!!

I don't blame them. I had the same experience in Australia. They always asked if I was Canadian because if they asked if I was American and wasn't I might be offended. So thoughtful. They think we are arrogant, but most Americans are just kind of oblivious to other cultures. I said to a server," Where is the cream for the coffee?" And she said: WE CALL IT MILK IN AUSTRALIA! As if to say, learn our ways American jerk. Anyway, I still loved it. New Zealanders are super nice.
This isn't new. There have ALWAYS been ugly Americans. I go overseas and listen to others of my countrymen bitching about how UNLIKE home it is...well, duh! Why did yoy leave home? Drives me nuts to see McDonalds everywhere, with lines of tourists inside.I visited Italy last year and tried to learn at least enough of the language and culture to get around for a couple of weeks. Going to Spain, Portugal and France this year and plan to do the same.
My most coveted superpower would be to speak and understand every language that has ever existed.
