I've never heard of a law that requires a business to reimburse people who didn't use a service they were paying a subscription for. Maybe I misunderstood what was being explained in that post. Probably.
What I would prefer, though, is a five dollar monthly subscription that would simply give me a 50% discount on donuts whenever I decide to buy them. Just that. I'd be happy with that. :)
I didn't say autopay was lazy. I also use it. I said its prone to lazy people forgetting their auto payments..... And blaming the service instead of themselves.
And no, I don't know of a law forcing businesses to pay the money back for these idiot transactions, just smart businesses that want to keep/aquire customers tend to pay at least a portion back from my experience; they call it good customer service...... But can cost them a lot of $$$ as I've seen several times first hand.
