OP: I understand that this is a sensitive spot for you. However, I do not think by ANY stretch that the game condones eating cats. If it were a visual task, I would be upset as well; however, you don't actually see any cats being consumed, and there AREN'T any REAL cats being eaten.
The problem with humor is that someone can always take offense. SNL got into trouble when they made fun of abusive cops (oh so long ago in the Seventies) or a young man dying of a brain tumor. But where do we draw lines? "You can't make fun of people eating cats , it's wrong." Can we make fun of people eating dogs? Goldfish? Lobster? (That makes ME sick, and I won't do it.) Unkosherly slaughtered meat? I think you get my point.
There are jokes that the game's pulled that I don't like. But I'm not calling for a boycott. It happens sometimes.
