Went into the firing range last night - first time on Apex in months - & wow I’m superRusty 😆🫠 I normally adjust quickly but the sens felt completely foreign. I cannot aim in Apex yet I average 50 kills per game in XDefiant 🤷🏻♂️
My Xbox is set to 1080p @ 120Fps, slide down the hill in the Apex firing range & everything is blurry. Movement creates blurrr 👀 So I checked my Apex settings & it was on Balanced mode for some reason, changed back to Performance & the blur went away. But what the friggin heck was that about lmao
I should make a video of it still in action on the new season. every time I play I realize that im not rusty at all and that my settings just dont work. whenever I find them and play with my friends though I still end up destroying. I wanted to play the moment the season dropped but I couldn't even find any settings that would work for me the day the update dropped.
Im kinda busy right now, it was mothers day so I was hanging out with my mom, I then Couldn't go to sleep for 20 hours. I spent 8 hours grinding the hardest dungeon in destiny 2 vespers host just to not get the 5% chance for the exotic on the final boss to drop. it took me until mid boss to realize that it was impossible for me to do solo and i lfgd past midboss. now I have to look for classes to sign up for during fall and do my final for a dawing class I have which is due on my birthday in 3 days.
but ill probably do a quick upload this week.

You hit the nail on the head, once you learn to ride a bike & get your balance you never forget (5+ years of Apex) - when I’ve come back in the past after a few months off I normally adjust very quickly, I also watch some of my old gameplay beforehand so my brain locks back in faster. So while there’s an element of rustiness I’m under no illusions about my experience - I cannot land a bullet on the broad side of a bus, my Xbox Elite 2 controller does not work at all in Apex anymore. The sens (turning & ads) feels completely mangled like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Jumping with a regular character felt floaty. I tried 4-3 linear & classic, 5-4 classic, steady, messed a lot with my ALC’s - nothing felt right. This was a fresh install 80+GB coz I had deleted Apex in Jan. I was also using linear response in XDefiant.
I will try to recreate that weird blurriness issue & record a clip of it to post. I have no option but to unpack my other brand controller which I’ve barely used since I bought it last year. Will be interesting to see how it performs.
