Nah same ol mess for me. It’s magnified times 10 when I play with my duos buddy. Both of us on Fiber connection. I think mine is a mix of aa working when it feels like it (rarely) and whatever they use to manipulate connections/gameplay to level (lol) the playing field vs high ping players. We had a few good games yesterday but in most everything feels sluggish and unresponsive which in turn is a death sentence for me. It’s not lag unless they’re introducing it artificially upon me. We're both on the East coast, the Southeast particularly.
Edit: I wanted to add I know how many shots it takes to knock an enemy. I think often I also have fights where I feel like the shots aren’t registering even though the onscreen indicators say otherwise. Leads to a lot of fights where afterwards I say there’s no way I lost that.

sluggV Duo’s used to be ok for me, it was trios with 2 PlayStation friends that made the game 10x worse than usual. But it’s been a long time since I tested that, I think last was 3 Strikes when it first launched.
Are you PC or console? Controller brand?

Xbox series x, series X controller. It doesn’t matter though, I have the same issue if I play on PC or console including ps5. It changes none. I swear it something between the crap server tick rate, old game engine and EOMM. My duos buddy doesn’t have problems when he doesn’t play with me for the most part. I do typically play controller on PC too when I do which is rare.
on gig fiber, open NAT etc. doesn’t change a thing. For the record, it was the same on last gen consoles too.

I don't know what has happened but the game feels amazing as of last night and today. Best it's been since the release. Enjoying it while it lasts because I know the norm is headed back this way.
Edit: Come to find out they were still migrating servers to amazon. Had to be something to do with it. Oh well, it was enjoyable for 2 whole days.

Well I don’t have good news either 🫣sluggV
So last week I was training in the firing range & everything was ok, stable. Aim tracking felt great against strafing, running speed dummies. I set the strafe & stances to random at times to make it more challenging.
I didn’t want to rush back into Apex because I was away from the game for almost 6 months. I had changed my jump button from LB (10+ years on that setting) to the left top paddle on my Xbox elite controller, & crouch from top right to bottom right paddle. I wanted to perfect muscle memory for combination button presses (I even had to disable LB in the Xbox controller app because I kept pushing it by mistake).
I also wanted to train with some different legends that I haven’t used in the past, which I’ve been doing, plus improve my ALC’s. Basically to return to Apex with full confidence & pinpoint aim.
Then last night happened… 🥹
So on Sunday during the day I was training for a couple hours using 4-3 & then 3-3 linear. Testing ads & hipfire at close, medium & long range. Everything felt great.
I got back on a few hours later & went into the firing range & a player spawned in with me.
At first I thought it wasSpectreVanitas because I had asked to 1v1 so I could test against a real player. But he’s PlayStation & the player in my firing range was Xbox.
I do not know the Xbox player - they are not in my friends list. I don’t know how they got into my lobby, I did not see anyone before the game loaded into the firing range & I have my lobby set to invite only.
At first I could see their name but the player then must have hid it via their Apex settings. The name was ToufiKdz - I didn’t speak to the player, Apex voice chat is disabled in my settings somewhere.
We just began 1v1ing around the firing range. I don’t even know the players location + ping & why they were in my firing range. The game felt terrible, it was a DISASTER - For like an hour..
I was having ALL the problems we’ve spoken about on the old thread. EveryDamThing.
Crosshair getting stuck next to the player - aim resist. Crosshair swinging wildly across the player sometimes like they weren’t even there, feeling like aa was off. I could not track properly, movement & visibility was affected randomly. Sometimes it didn’t even sound right when shooting the player or knocking them, or no sound at all. My accuracy at times dropped below 10% - that’s how excruciatingly bad it was. I won the majority of the 1v1’s but I could see the other player was struggling too.
How I would describe it is it’s like me + the other player are in 2 different dimensions but can see each other, & only intermittently do we cross over into the same dimension & then aim works like it should. Meaning synchronization was not consistent. Desync.
What occurred in the firing range against this player is exactly what used to happen in game against players randomly. And it completely destroys confidence.
I can post a couple of short clips later & point out a few thingsEA_Mako Please ask the dev to look at the data from my firing range session last night 1v1ing this player, everything they need is there.
I’m very disappointed, frustrated & angry. I have put in a lot of time to get back into Apex but I am not superman. I have to fight my aim & the instability while simultaneously fighting an opponent too. It’s impossible.
