Oddly enough, I’ve gotten him on PlayStation now both of us on PS five and we had our best games ever yesterday. Won a couple of ranked games but we’re only in gold so far. Then last night I queued up with randoms in pubs and it was awful.

sluggV Original PS5, slim or Pro? And your friend?
When you solo & the game is bad, or very stable, note which platform the randoms are on.

Would be good if we could see which variant of each platform the player is on in Apex coz there are multiple for both old & newer gen.

after apexs mid season patch note, i was interested in this change
Launch argument -no_render_on_input_thread has been made the default for players with 8 or more cores on their CPU. This improves performance stability and input latency, especially when paired with high-polling rate mice or controllers. It can still be enabled manually for players with fewer CPU cores, and it can be disabled with -render_on_input_thread.
however. the problem still persist for me.

This makes me concerned to get the Ryzen 7 7800X3D 🫣

if it makes you feel better, the bug still occurs with higher than 8 core cpu and an overclocked controller which would mean that even if you had less than an 8 core cpu than you'd still get it.

I think I don’t know what I just said

So… according to ChatG:
It appears that among the top-tier Apex Legends professionals, none publicly endorse an AMD-based gaming PC.
Here are notable Apex Legends pros who are known to use Intel CPUs in their setups:
- ImperialHal – Intel Core i9‑14900K
- HisWattson – Intel Core i9‑12900K
- Verhulst – Intel Core i9‑13900K
- Sweetdreams – Intel Core i9‑9900K
- Reps – Intel Core i9‑11900K
- Albralelie – Intel Core i9‑10900K (older info)
Sorry AMD, where there’s smoke 💨 —> 🔥SpectreVanitas You & I discussed the theory a few months ago on X that AMD CPU’s may be causing/contributing to the aim problems.
ImperialHal’s gaming PC:
CPU: Intel Core i9‑14900K
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
RAM: 64 GB DDR5 Corsair Vengeance RGB (6400 MHz, CL32)
Motherboard: MSI MPG Z790 Carbon
SSD: Kingston KC3000 2 TB NVMe PCIe 4.0
PSU: be quiet! Straight Power 1000 W, 80 Plus Gold
Case: ASUS TUF Gaming GT502
Cooling: DeepCool LS720 AIO + DeepCool FC120 fans
Streaming PC:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X

I may have some info that could be helpful
a friend of mine who completely believes I’m crazy and this isn’t even real just got the bug himself.
He used to solely play on Xbox. The moment he purchased his pc and attached his account , it started happening. Now even when he plays on his Xbox he has the delay desync and wacky aim. Says the game is unplayable, absolutely believes me now.
only thing i haven’t tried is buying a brand new console and making a brand new account and never using my main one on there. No idea if that could be it
feeling like it’s gotta be account related with some sort of cloud settings crossing over. But also console breaking cuz if u delete the account any other account still feels bad? No idea

brwrd Yea it’s very strange, we’ve seen comments & Reddit posts on the old EA Forum similar to that. Can you share his pc specs?
