This is what i believe was causing dead-zone & input issues in Apex:
Steam was picking up XInput & 2 x GameSir G7's but with only one GameSir plugged in 😭SpectreVanitas Sometimes i'd see a Steam notification saying 'Controller Connected', sometimes it would connect then disconnect.
I disabled an entry in the Human Interface Devices (Event dated 16 May) in Device Manager which removed the 2 x G7's in Steam, however there were times i noticed prior to that when Steam had only picked up 1 controller.
What's frustrating is when i check & the Steam dead-zone has been reapplied even tho i've removed it but as i said sometimes Steam picks up a different controller entirely (like Xbox One) 🤦🏻♂️
Under the Advanced section in Steam settings all the toggles are disabled for every controller, & in the Apex section the Steam controller input is disabled.
I know how to fix this now but hopefully it doesn't continue to happen.
On the bright side, the last time i checked my FPS it was stable @ the cap with 250's 1% low & 230's 0.1% 🦾
