Axle destroys my performance

PC specs:

Nvidia RTX 3080ti

Intel Core i9-14900KF

32 GB RAM

Windows 10

In-game graphics options are ALL set to the lowest they can possibly be.

For time immemorial, I have been able to run this game buttery smooth at 144 fps. Now, every game I play dips down below 90 fps on average and it seems to be the worst when players use axle tacticals near me. It doesn't seem like it needs to be rendered on my screen though either. Just having an axle place their tactical and/or use the boost from it in my general proximity tanks my framerate and sometimes I have seen it get as bad as 60 fps in really intense situations. I have restarted my pc, and the game several times and nothing has changed this. When I load into a firing range session with my friends, the game runs perfectly fine at 144 fps no matter how much stuff is on screen until the second someone switches to axle and uses their tactical. At that point, I lose 30-40 fps on average for the remainder of the time that any nitro gates are on the ground.

Same. It's truly insane how they manage to ruin this game with every update, but this is REALLY bad. I dropped from 200 fps -> 20-40 mid fight. Game crashing.

I can't believe they haven't just rug pulled this code and made a new Apex by now. Truly an awful dev team.

  • Same. Always playes this game with 200-240fps. In some matches I still, but in a lot my frames drop random to under a 100. Last game they dropped to under 30 for a second, it is unplayble

You can try turning off Hyper-Threading in bios. Btw my pc is 13400f 4070s and I don't have the issue but my friend is 13600k 4070ti and he has the same issue.

    Helloamonkey71

Currently the only reliable solution is to turn off Hyper threading on your BIOS, the devs are working on a fix, but in the meantime this solution will help a lot.

Sadly this is mostly affecting intel CPU users.
