Conduit Ult bug

Yesterday on the game I experienced my teammate (Conduit) placing their ultimate down, it was red and it hurt me including them. Didn't think much of it. Though today I witnessed my partner who too was playing conduit place his ult down and it was red. It hurt him and his teammates and could destroy it. Both of us are confused. 

Not sure but weird it happened everytime I played with a conduit.
