Only the sound of the enemy's feet can't be heard.

Do something about it.
I have no idea when the enemy is approaching. Many times I find myself with an enemy right behind me. 
Guns are loud, but only footsteps are heard at all, like ninjas. 
When you do hear them, they're almost always the footsteps of your allies.
