P20 randomly taken away

I had just been respawned in a ranked game with dual p20s. I was playing alter and my ballistic teammate ulted. About 5 seconds into the ballistic ult, one of my p20s was taken away, and a slash icon appeared through the 2nd p20. I was not able to pick up another one for the remainder of the match.
