Random stuttering and what feels like severe input lag throughout each match
For the past 2-3 weeks since we've switched to dx12, I've been experiencing horrible lag/input lag/desync/high ping. Whatever you want to call it & all of the above. This user reported the same issues, and was able to explain it much better than I could (I'm not super familiar with computers & the related vocab)
JBarnesBee said "I'm also getting issues with my game and gameplay I use to be getting around 10, 15 to 20 ping but then recently I noticed Dx12 had an issue by increasing the ping or latency which I found out before you switched to Dx12 as your main engine api.
I would like to say now I'm getting around 35 to 40 sometimes 50+ and for people with a bad or slow internet service thats probably even worse for them ive also noticed much more no regs and death boxes not being where there supposed to be when you die like going through walls ive also noticed people on my screen have shot me behind cover like the blue crate's even though on my screen its fine but on theres I'm still out in the open ive also notice a lot more bullets going through doors like when closing them and someone tries to shoot through the door this has always been and issue with apex so I understand its a huge bug but its become more noticeable and often.
In the recent split two update ive also notice performance issue with fps and slow reactivity or responsiveness in the game which makes the game experience 10x worse and just makes aiming and playing the game feel slow and muggy idk if this is and issue with MNK users as ive notice it feels like my aim Sens is changing ever so slightly when I relaunch the game or boot up the next day which just doesn't help when your trying to aim at and enemy and you can just feel that micro change enough that it feels like your Sens has been changed or the game isn't performing right."
The main issue here is the feeling of intense input lag. I use both controller and mnk, and I experience this laggy feeling on both inputs. Granted, it is much worse on controller, so I have switched to mnk for now, but it is still very noticeable on mnk. It basically feels like im moving in molasses. When I try to turn my legend, the in game response is like 50 times slower than it was before. Honestly, the game has felt so unplayable due to this, because its not constant. It'll go from severely laggy one match, to almost back to normal in the next match. So i can't even adjust.
Not sure why the game audio didnt record, but In the clip I've attached you can see my movement on mnk looks sluggish, but also slightly jerky. Normally its completely smooth, but im having to over-correct myself due to the input lag. I'm also dead sliding a lot, not sliding as far as normal, missing simple wall-bounce timing, and getting no-regs.
