VRR/Freesync Not working in Fullscreen or Borderless [DX12]
Issue: VRR/Freesync not functioning correctly in the DX12 version of the game. It works in windowed mode, but not fullscreen or borderless. Verified using monitor's built in refresh rate function. Persists with Vsync enabled (all modes in game) and disabled.
Expected Outcome: Refresh rate changes based on FPS in fullscreen/borderless as it does in windowed mode.
Reproduce: Enable VRR / Freesync in Nvidia drivers, cap FPS to desired value (tried both +fps_max 240 and RTSS), open the DX12 version of the game, go to firing range/public match and measure refresh rate. Refresh rate fluctuates as expected in windowed mode, but stays at its maximum value in both borderless and fullscreen modes.
System info: 9800X3D, RTX 4070 Super (Nvidia driver 576.52 / Nvidia App version 11.0.3.241), Alienware AW2725DF, Windows 11 24H2 (optimizations for windowed games = enabled / MPO enabled).
Freesync functions just fine in windowed mode and in other games, could only reproduce the issue in this game.
