I’ve owned every Battlefield title since Battlefield 1942, all through the EA App, and my love for the series has lasted for decades.
When I heard that Battlefield 6 would also be available on Steam, I was tempted — but I still decided to purchase it through the EA App, as I always have.
I waited patiently for the release day, only to spend two hours reinstalling and rebooting due to content errors that wouldn’t let me play. Eventually, I found a workaround through a Portal fix shared on X, which allowed me to play a few broken matches before deciding to stop and wait for stability.
When I first heard about the compensation announcement, I was genuinely touched — it showed that EA still cares about its long-time players. But now, seeing how inconsistent and unclear the compensation process has been, I can’t help but feel deeply disappointed.
I truly hope this situation will be handled fairly and properly, for all players who were affected.
