Unable to progress Support Specialist Assignment 3

The Issue is occurring in the Support Specialist Assignment 3 Challenge, specifically "Deal damage with the Incendiary Airburst Launcher as Support.".

For some reason, the game doesn't seem to count the damage I deal with the Incendiary Airburst Launcher while Playing Support. I played a whole match focusing on this challenge, even achieving multiple kills with the incendiary Airburst Launcher, but none of it was tracked in the Challenge (see screenshot).
Some users reported that it only counts direct hits towards the challenge, though I wasn't able to confirm this information. Even if this was the case, a direct hit only deals about 15 damage, and it would therefore take an absurdly long time to complete this challenge. This can't be intended behavior.
Please fix this issue.

    For me direct hit as any hit deals 0 damage. Definitely a bug

    My experience is a little bit different. When I get a kill with the launcher I get couple of points. Now that I've been shooting people mainly with that, I've gotten 186 points so far. I've maybe gotten about 50 kills with it. So it counts a few points per kill... This is goin to take weeks/months to get through. Definitely bugged as are so many other challenges

    Same story with the Incerdiary shotgun. And that gadged is totally useless. You need about 4 shots before it downs an enemy. So TTK is multiple seconds 🤪
