Mistake: Daemon Tools

I downloaded the game from EA and Steam. I get the same error every time I try to launch the game. DiskSoftLTD(Daemon Tools). 
Now, the interesting part, I've looked at all the guides and videos on how to solve this problem, but nothing has worked. 
There is no mention of this utility in the registry, drivers, or device manager. In fact, Daemon Tools has never been installed on my computer.
The game keeps complaining about what I'm doing.
What do you suggest? 
Download Daemon Tools specifically?
