F1 24 discriminates against Italians with last name Caputo. Fix now!
Let's try this again. I was appalled when I tried to enter "Caputo" as the last name for my custom player and I got a message saying it wasn't allowed because "it could cause offence".
Caputo is a very common Italian last name, heard all over the world. In fact, there are tens of thousands of Caputos in the US, just do a search. Hell, there are over a hundred just in a 100 mile radius from where I live.
I couldn't care less if part of that name is a derogatory term to gay men in Spanish, because I'm not trying to enter those four letters by themselves. I'm trying to enter the last name Caputo. I have nothing against gay people, I'm very supportive of them, but EA and Codemasters have chosen to blatantly discriminate against millions of Italians or descendants of Italians all over the world that might want to play this game with their own name.
Or perhaps it's just lazy coding. Perhaps they didn't even enter "Caputo" as a banned word, but just those four letters, without setting a condition as to how those four letters appear, if they have a space before or after, for example. I don't know and I don't care, I just know that if I cannot enter a perfectly good Italian last name, you are discriminating against a very large group of Italians all over the world.
So please fix this now and issue and update.
