AI is way to fast on the straight.

Hi everyone,

I've run into a serious issue in F1 25's Driver Career Mode:

Even with a fully upgraded engine, I’m being massively outpaced on the straights by the AI – up to 15 km/h slower, with no ERS or DRS involved.

Example: In Suzuka, I hit ~311 km/h with a 25/22 wing setup, while the AI easily reaches 325+ km/h.

This makes the mode unbalanced and takes the fun out of racing – especially on higher difficulties, where I just get passed on every straight with no chance to defend after a bit of time it just gets annoying.

My Setup:

Fully upgraded power unit

No DRS

ERS set to medium

25/22 wings

AI difficulty tested from 95 to 103– always the same issue

If anyone else is experiencing this, please leave a comment or upvote, so it gets some visibility. I would be really grateful

EA, please take a look at this – I really hope this can be addressed in a future patch!

Btw i've tried to put the AI down but i didnt work. Its impossible to keep up even with DRS.

Here is also my R&D tree. Despite having almost every upgrade, my top speed is still very poor.

Absolutely agree, basically everything else is great with this game, but the AI top speed is outrageous

Hi again! I just wanted to ask if the recent patch made any changes regarding the engine performance issue I reported. Unfortunately, I can't test it myself during the week, so I’d really appreciate any confirmation or update from the team. Thanks a lot in advance! 🙏

I'm not sure what patch you are referring to as they haven't released a new patch yet, but you will be able to find the patch notes in the link below, as well as the list of things they are looking into for future patches.

Hey, thanks for the clarification. Since there’s been no patch yet, I’ll wait a bit longer. Just hoping the devs are aware of the top speed / engine balance issue in Career Mode. It really ruins the experience for some of us. Im sorry i thought a patch came out today. Thats what i heard.
