I was ranked Elite. Bought and installed season 26 and after installation i was all of a sudden Gold II. And yesterday when i sat down I was stunned. All of a sudden I was Silver II. All this in 2 days. How is this possible.

Exactly. New season = drop to Gold II [not Gold III]. Because it's a double drop. No cheating. No racing for 2 weeks (because 1 week without racing means no drop) means a drop. Two double drops in total.
Doh, but of course. Im talking sbout loosing rank after a season without racing at all
...but I also haven't played ranked for 2 or 3 weeks. And maybe that's why I got double demoted.
I also fell from Elite to Silver II
At the end of a season the ranks do reset so it is common to drop down but having two separate drops in 2 days is very strange indeed
