[FRANCHISE MODE] cannot import a roster file into Franchise mode

I downloaded a custom roster (2014H) from Creation Center and wanted to start a franchise with it but when I try 'Create a New League' -> 'Play Online Solo or Multiplayer' -> 'Roster File' -> ROSTER IMPORT ERROR: Roster import failed and league creation has been cancelled. Please create a new Franchise to try again.

All I can use the custom rosters for is Quick Play. How are you guys charging $70 for this game and most of it is not even playable??
