The game consistently glitches when the CPU/A.I. challenges a play call

The game consistently glitches during the CPU/A.I. challenging play calls in Superstar mode. The games isn't frozen because it will allow the play clock to run during the next play, however, there's nothing to play. There's only a pan of the stadium camera. If I force a timeout, the game will allow a single time out call but freezes completely if a 2nd time out call is forced. After the 2nd time out, I can see snow fall but the stadium camera is frozen as well as the play clock.
