Defensive awareness is more valuable for a two way defender as opposed to a defensive defenceman. For example, in create a player, when you don’t edit any attributes except for the defensive awareness, it will increase a player’s overall from 50 to 74 for a two way defender and from 50 to 67 for a defensive defenceman. It would make more sense if the higher value for defensive awareness went to the defensive defenceman. It makes offensive and defensive awarenesses for two way defenders a bit more unrealistic, as offensive awareness provides barely any boost for a two way defender (50 to 54 overall using the method above). Increasing the offensive awareness value while decreasing the defensive awareness value would make sense for a two way defender.

That's because the weight allocation for Defensive defenseman uses both Defensive stats and Physical stats. Two-Way really only uses the awareness IQ as the dominant stats.
It's likely so defensive defensemen aren't growing to an insane 95 overall just because their defensive stat got boosted high.
Probably for the best that their physical stat plays a heavy weight to their overall
Good point for defensive defensemen, but they should still adjust the two way defenders. Having defensive awareness be 6 times as valuable does not really make sense
