Franchise Mode – Created Player Neck Guard Cannot Be Removed
I found what appears to be a bug with created players in Franchise Mode.
I created a player before starting my Franchise and originally equipped him with a neck guard.
After starting the Franchise, I went into Edit Player and changed the neck guard setting to No Neck Guard. In the Edit Player screen, the change works correctly and the neck guard disappears from the player model.
I then save the changes and exit the editor. However, when I start a new game, the created player is still wearing the neck guard on the ice.
I have also exited Franchise Mode back to the main menu, re-entered the Franchise, and started another game. The neck guard still appears during gameplay even though it was removed in Edit Player.
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a player and equip a neck guard.
- Add/use the created player in Franchise Mode.
- Enter Edit Player from within Franchise Mode.
- Change Neck Guard to “No Neck Guard.”
- The player preview correctly shows the neck guard removed.
- Save the changes and exit.
- Start a game.
- The neck guard is still equipped on the player during gameplay.
It appears that Franchise Mode is saving/showing the equipment change in the editor, but the on-ice player model continues using the original neck guard setting.
Please investigate. Thanks!
